Yesterday since we got out a little early from Free People due to the blizzard, I decided to have some fun in the snow! My friend Ryan and I walked around Williamsburg to enjoy the sights. Take a look at some of our pics.

I snapped a picture of the Archive in Bushwick before getting on the train. Bogart Street looked amazing in the snow.

So this video is almost a year old- but yesterday my roommate showed it to me and it’s so amazing! Check out this priceless collaboration between Bon Ivar and Lykke Li with “Dance Dance.”

She is so awesome! And her jeans remind me of the Genetic Patched Flares just launched in the December FP catalog!

It is no secret that we love pooches here at “We the Free,” so today when I picked up a copy of “AM New York” and saw a section dedicated to dogs I had to share the info! Here’s some great things going on in the city for women’s (and man’s!) best friends:

Mexican Radio Fundraiser for “Bobbi and the Strays!”

Mexican Radio, one of Korin’s favorite Mexican restaurants… is having a fundraiser September 22nd for the Queens animal shelter “Bobbi and the Strays.” 24% of their profit all day will go to this great organization that helps out abandoned pooches in Queens!

Visit Mexican Radio’s website to check out their GREAT menu (that both Korin and Cat can honestly say is delicious since they’ve both eaten there) and be prepared to eat there the 22nd at www.mexicanrad.com

Mexican Radio also does many other fundraising events so be sure to join their FACEBOOK GROUP at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mexican-Radio/97527045732#/pages/Mexican-Radio/97527045732?v=info&viewas=0

Also check out these ADORABLE dogs that need homes now for adoption at “Bobbi and the Strays.”

Lenox is a playful young pup with all of his shots. He is extremely well behaved AND does great with other dogs! Lenox is still a pup so he needs someone who's ready for a lifetime commitment. Now up for adoption at www.bobbieandthestrays.org

Eba is a fully trained Rotweiller who is spayed and has her shots. Her original owner passed away, leaving her all alone. She is very loyal and looking for a new family!

After having so much fun at “Celebrate Brooklyn!’s” free screening of “Purple Rain” (equipped with sing- a- long) I’ve been dying for another free screening of a like- minded film. Thus, when I heard that tonight Coney Island would be screening “The Wiz” for FREE I had to post and let everyone know!

WHEN? Tonight! 7:30

WHERE? Kaiser Park, Coney Island

HOW MUCH? Nada

The Wiz! Tonight at Coney Island.

The Wiz! Tonight at Coney Island.

Description of Film:

The Wiz, a 1978 remake of the classic Wizard of Oz tale, is a famous retelling of an age-old story set in a familiar urban backdrop.  With twists on the original characters, the Wiz follows the trials and travails of Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man (from Coney Island!), and Lion as they try to make their way back to the Land of Oz to meet The Wiz

Last night I went to see the band “ANIMAL COLLECTIVE” perform at Prospect Park’s very own bandshell for the “Celebrate Brooklyn!” final benefit show. The show was not only FLAWLESS but EXTRAVAGANT. “Animal Collective” certainly has their own sound that marks them as one of (in my opinion) the best bands of our time. There is no question who you’re listening to when you put an “Animal Collective” album on, and the music usually takes you somewhere surreal. Knowing how good of a band they are on record, I already knew they’d be great live, but wow! I had no idea “Celebrate Brooklyn” would allow them to include a colorful set equipped with moving waves, a shark and tikis that lit up in sync with the music. There was so much going on my senses couldn’t decide where to focus. Take a look at pictures from the “Animal Collective” benefit show for “Celebrate Brooklyn!”
