Our associate Shannon had so much fun building a snowman in our backyard the other day during the snowstorm. Take a look at her and Winston, her creation!

Shannon is wearing the Free People Lace Back Cardigan over the Short Sleeve Lace Tank and the Wooden Ships Earwarmer.
That’s the best way to enjoy a snowstorm!

Welcome to the Chinese YEAR OF THE TIGER! Here is my favorite photograph ever taken of a tiger by artist Birte Ragland. Ragland does a phenominal job photographing extreme wild life!

Alexander McQueen was a pioneer in the fashion industry, and will be missed very much. As a brand that appreciates bold prints and colors, we’re very sorry at Free People Brooklyn about this tragic news. Here’s a look at some of our favorite pieces designed by his genius.

Dress by Alexander McQueen.

Yesterday since we got out a little early from Free People due to the blizzard, I decided to have some fun in the snow! My friend Ryan and I walked around Williamsburg to enjoy the sights. Take a look at some of our pics.

I snapped a picture of the Archive in Bushwick before getting on the train. Bogart Street looked amazing in the snow.

McCarren Park in the snow.

Me in my Free People coat in McCarren Park.

Snowy sidewalk in Williamsburg

Friendly Snowman we found on North 9th.

In the same spirit of the last post, a brand new fashion Co-Op called “Better than Jam” has just opened on Flushing Avenue in the Loom! I just went to check it out this Saturday and the collection is amazing. Each designer there has their own distinct style that is totally recognizable. All the products are designed by NYC designers and made here! Take a look at some of my favorite things that I saw:

Necklace by "The Hand of Fatima" sold at "Better than Jam"

Tie by "Ikyoto" sold at "Better than Jam."

Dress by "Melissa Bell NYC" now sold at "Better than Jam."

Green Pea Pin by "Knit Knit" now sold at "Better than Jam."

Dress by Joanne Bermans now being sold at "Better than Jam."
“Better than Jam” is located on 1095 Flushing Avenue in Bushwick. It’s open everyday from 12 p.m.- 8 p.m. The price range varies from designer to designer, but there’s something for everyone and each special piece makes a great gift! Stop by sometime. Also be sure to check out their blog.
