The infamous “Clocktower” apartment complex is selling its top floor triplex penthouse apartment. If bought it’ll be the most expensive apartment bought in Brooklyn! The apartment has a great history of once being a factory, and it is also very unique! Check out these pictures of the “Clocktower” penthouse apartment that were published in the New York Times this week. It’s so surreal and my dream apartment!

Last night I went to see the band “ANIMAL COLLECTIVE” perform at Prospect Park’s very own bandshell for the “Celebrate Brooklyn!” final benefit show. The show was not only FLAWLESS but EXTRAVAGANT. “Animal Collective” certainly has their own sound that marks them as one of (in my opinion) the best bands of our time. There is no question who you’re listening to when you put an “Animal Collective” album on, and the music usually takes you somewhere surreal. Knowing how good of a band they are on record, I already knew they’d be great live, but wow! I had no idea “Celebrate Brooklyn” would allow them to include a colorful set equipped with moving waves, a shark and tikis that lit up in sync with the music. There was so much going on my senses couldn’t decide where to focus. Take a look at pictures from the “Animal Collective” benefit show for “Celebrate Brooklyn!”

Unfortunatley, despite my RSVP I got there too late to see them… however the “Red Bull Space” is really great! A lot of people were dancing for the DJ that spun after the band, and admission and drinks were free along with an RSVP! The line was a little long, but I’ve waited longer for things I’ve actually paid for, plus they had a weird free- photo booth thing that kept you entertained. All in all, I will definatley be looking for more events at the “RED BULL SPACE” in SOHO and for “Crystal Castles” concerts to make up for the one I missed.

The “Brooklyn Greenway” is an awesome initiative to create a 14- mile path that connects 4 parks in Brooklyn for recreational use. The “Brooklyn Greenway” runs from Greenpoint to Sunset Park along the Brooklyn waterfront. The “Brooklyn Greenway” will be a huge contributer to our favorite borough! It’ll provide a way for people to enjoy the Brooklyn waterfront by biking, walking, jogging or blading! I’m so excited to see the completed project… but right now you can visit the section that’s open on Colombia Street.

For more info on the “Brooklyn Greenway” Initiative visit http://www.brooklyngreenway.org

You can find out ways to volunteer, contribute and about great events that support the “Brooklyn Greenway Initiative” by visiting this website.

That’s right! Free People has totally re-done their website, including the “We the Free” section. The new style is less crafty, and a lot edgier! It has great features including an option that allows you to zoom in on pictures of the garment you’re viewing, and it allows you to decide which brand you want to view between “Free People,” “We the Free,” and “Intimatley Free.” You can also now register a wishlist on freepeople.com for your birthday or holiday gifts!
